

Grease Campaign

This campaign of the musical Grease is inspired by its 1950s setting while also focusing on the character Sandy's point of view. She's a typical preppy teenage girl, who contrasts with her greaser rebel boyfriend. The redesigned logomark was inspired by 1950s drive-in diner signs and vintage color palettes. The type plays into the kitsch style of font that is so reminiscent of the time period.

The letterman jacket merch item was inspired by the characters who call themselves the Pink Ladies and wear pink leather jackets. The letterman has the updated logomark embroidered on the back as well as Sandy's name stitched on the front. The social media ads both reference and highlight key lines and moments from the musical. Redesigning the originally white car in Grease to a pink version once again plays into the refocusing of Sandy's point of view as a character. In the Instagram advertisement, Sandy's most famous quote was used in the style of the logomark.
